Here at IMeasureU (IMU), we have developed an wearable sensor and software platform that precisely quantifies body movement, from creating workload metrics for professional athletes to helping researchers work on ways to understand and improve the health of people. Having joined forces with Vicon, the world leader in motion capture, working at IMU means you’ll be developing innovative software using our custom hardware, all from our office in Kingsland, Auckland.
Your primary role will be working within our development team to learn and grow our technology stack, updating existing mobile apps, building new ones into exciting new markets, and improving our CI/CD and build pipeline. Working here means you will be an integral part in helping us deliver high quality experiences within the sport, research and clinical markets while being guided in your development by senior members of the team.
Help implement features for both customer facing native iOS mobile apps and internal tools
Contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle – design, develop, test, automatization and deployment
Maintain and upgrade software CI/CD pipelines
Review and maintain coding standards
Collaborate with design, dev and engineering teams both locally and remotely
Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, bootcamp or a related technical field.
At least 1 year learning or commercial experience in iOS or other native mobile development
Working knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI and XCode
Version Control e.g. Git
Passion for learning
Attention to detail
Understanding of software development patterns, principles and coding techniques
Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
Bonus points for knowledge in
Objective-C, C and/or C++
Java or Kotlin, Android development
Python, MATLAB or other mathematical languages
Bluetooth, IoT and other wireless protocols
Using RESTful services and thirdparty integrations
Scrum, Test Driven Development and Agile practices
Continuous Integration and Deployment
Interest in anatomy, human performance, biomechanics and health
