Here at IMeasureU (IMU), we have developed inertial sensors and a software platform that precisely quantifies body movement and workload metrics of professional athletes, working closely with globally recognised professional teams. Having joined forces with Vicon, the world leader in precision motion capture, working at IMU during a 10-week summer internship means you’ll develop an intimate knowledge of inertial sensors, motion capture and tracking systems from our office in Kingsland, Auckland.
Your main role will be using your passion for human movement to assist in data collection and creation of ancillary software for new and existing products. Working with our development team, you will help in developing monitoring measurements and metrics in real-world scenarios, improving customer experiences and helping a wide range of people around the world.
Primary responsibilities:
● Collection and labelling of data
● Processing and development of algorithms
● Validation of data
● Internal reporting and tooling.
Strong candidates have experience with and be able to:
● Label and manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets
● Communicate effectively with both verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken English
● Understand physiology, human movement and anatomy.

● Strong interpersonal skills, be organised and have time management skills Degree and Experience:
● In the last years of a degree(s) in Biomechanics, Biomedical engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or a related quantitative field or comparative experience
You must have the right to work and reside in New Zealand, and have studied, or be studying, at a New Zealand tertiary education institution at NZQA level 6-10 (if study has been completed, the closing date of the last semester must be less than 12 months ago)
